Beard Transplant:

Beard Transplant: Beard transplantation is carried out by taking hair follicles from the available parts of the body to the areas where the beard does not grow or the areas where it grows sparsely, and transplanting it to the required area.

Beard Transplantation Process:
• Stages and methods very similar to hair transplantation are used in the beard transplantation process;
• First, a pre-examination is made and the area to be transplanted is determined and the number of grafts is calculated.
• Local anesthesia is preferred as in hair transplant operations.
• Hair follicles are collected from the donor area and the grafts kept in the organ transplant solution are transplanted to the beardless area with the DHI beard transplantation technique.
• The process takes about 3-6 hours.

After the Beard Process:
Blood coagulates in the area where the procedure is performed and coagulation is seen in the area where the sowing is performed. In this process, physical contact with the planting area should be avoided. In this way, both bacteria formation and damage to the structure of the hair are prevented. The coagulation is cleared within 24-48 hours and the beards begin to appear. Scabs and rashes are also natural to be seen during this process. The crusts usually begin to disappear by the 3rd day and the rashes disappear over time. In the 2nd week after the operation, the shedding phase of the beard begins, and the hair follicles shed at this phase grow again later and the development continues for 2 years.

Calculation of Root Number:
• This situation varies from patient to patient, but if we are to generalize, we can divide it as follows;
• Between 350 and 500 roots for a mustache in an average person,
• 600 to 700 roots for a full goatee,
• Between 200 and 250 roots for sideburns and 300 to 700 roots for cheek beard
• If the patient is completely beardless, that is, the corner, it varies between 1500 and 3000 roots depending on the desired density.

DHI Process:
With the DHI procedure, follicle grafts are taken from the back or sides of the scalp similar to traditional hair transplant procedures. Then, the hair grafts taken are transferred to the parts where the hair density is missing in the upper lip and cheek area.

Who Can Have Beard Transplantation?
It can be applied to anyone who does not have any disease and who has a beard problem over the age of 18.
